With magnesium chloride as the reaction raw material, sodium carbonate as the precipitant, and the addition of surfactant polyethylene glycol, under the conditions of reactant concentration 1.0 mol/L, reaction temperature 30°C, reaction system pH value 9.8~10, and roasting temperature 500°C, the prepared magnesium oxide powder has a large specific surface area. The preparation of magnesium oxide powder by precipitation method is simple and easy, and has good industrial prospects.
