The currently reported preparation method of basic magnesium carbonate is mainly based on ore, brine or industrial-grade magnesium sulfate as raw materials. Among them, magnesium chloride hexahydrate is used as raw material, and petal-shaped basic magnesium carbonate is prepared by heating with urea in a water bath. The ground serpentine is reacted with inorganic acid at room temperature and pressure, and then ammonia and ammonium bicarbonate are added to finally obtain basic magnesium carbonate. Basic magnesium carbonate is also obtained by pyrolysis of heavy magnesium water. The basic magnesium carbonate obtained by reacting magnesium chloride with sodium carbonate is used as a dispersant to make the polymer particles uniform and fine and does not need to be used in combination with a surfactant. The basic magnesium carbonate is prepared by using natural mineral brucite or synthetic magnesium hydroxide as raw materials and reacting with carbon dioxide through an atom-economic reaction.
Based on this, the present invention provides a basic magnesium carbonate. The present invention relates to a basic magnesium carbonate and a preparation method thereof, which is prepared from reaction raw materials under hydrothermal reaction conditions. The raw materials include magnesium hydroxide, urea and water, the molar ratio of magnesium hydroxide to urea is 1:1~5, and the ratio of urea to water is 1~5mol:1000ml. The present invention directly prepares a basic magnesium carbonate from magnesium hydroxide and urea, and the obtained basic magnesium carbonate has the characteristics of good crystallinity and high purity, and can also form a petal-shaped structure. The preparation method has a simple process, low production cost, and is easy to realize industrial production.
The main uses of magnesium carbonate can be roughly divided into three aspects:
(1) Used as an additive and improver for food and various chemical products, such as an excellent filler and reinforcing agent for rubber products, which can improve the output and quality of rubber products, and make thermal insulation and high-temperature resistant materials for ships or boilers;
(2) Used as raw materials for the preparation of magnesium series chemical products, such as the preparation of high-purity magnesia or magnesium oxide;
(3) Used as auxiliary therapeutic drugs in pharmaceuticals and medicine, such as aluminum carbonate magnesium complex salt, which can be taken together with ranitidine capsules, amoxicillin capsules, metronidazole tablets, etc., significantly improving the cure rate of elderly peptic ulcers.
