1. Application in zinc-nickel batteries. By physically mixing nano-magnesium oxide into the zinc negative electrode active material, it can reduce the charge and discharge polarization, reduce the internal resistance in the later stage of the cycle, improve the utilization rate of the negative plate active material, and extend the battery cycle life. The appropriate amount of nano-magnesium oxide is 1%, and the amount should not exceed 2%.
2. Application in high-chloride zinc batteries. Adding a small amount of nano-magnesium oxide to the positive electrode active material can adjust the acidity of the electrolyte, slow down self-discharge, inhibit battery bloating, improve storage performance, and has a unique effect on increasing discharge capacity and promoting slurry gelatinization. It is recommended to add 0.5-1% and adjust the appropriate pH value.
3. Application in cadmium-nickel batteries. Adding an appropriate amount of nano-magnesium oxide, nano-zinc oxide and iron oxide to the cadmium electrode can improve the utilization rate of the active material; adding nano-magnesium oxide, indium trioxide and nano-zinc oxide can improve the charge retention capacity of sealed cadmium-nickel batteries.
4. Others: Adding an appropriate amount of nano magnesium oxide to the positive electrode material of lithium batteries can improve the problem of capacity attenuation during the cycle of the material. Using it in dye-sensitized solar cells can improve the utilization rate of light and the photoelectric conversion rate.
