The first national magnesium resources utilization academic conference was held in Anshan

The sky is high and the autumn breeze is cool. 21-24 August 2022, the first national magnesium resources utilization academic conference was held in the world magnesium capital – Anshan City, Liaoning Province.

This conference is themed on promoting high-quality development, taking reform and innovation as the fundamental driving force, taking green safety as the bottom line of development, focusing on the themes of magnesium metal and magnesium alloy, magnesium building materials, magnesium refractory materials, magnesium chemical materials and salt lake magnesium resource utilization, etc. 7 invited conference reports, 27 theme reports, 49 conference reports, and 100 collected paper abstracts. The conference is divided into three stages: opening invited conference report, session seminar, closing invited conference report, and 3 sessions with 6 sub-forums, which are magnesium metal and magnesium alloy sub-forum; magnesium building materials sub-forum, salt lake magnesium resources efficient utilization sub-forum, magnesium chemical sub-forum; magnesium refractory sub-forum, thermal engineering and environmental protection sub-forum. More than 60 universities and research institutes from the country, more than 150 magnesium resource utilization industry enterprises, a total of more than 400 people attended the meeting.

This meeting provides a platform for academic exchange, results display, cooperation and docking for experts and scholars, R&D personnel from universities and research institutes and enterprises. The conference had a grand closing ceremony, the first national magnesium resources utilization academic conference executive chairman, China magnesia industry association science and technology committee secretary general, Shenyang university of chemical industry professor Li Xue made a closing summary speech.
