What is Electro-Fused Magnesium Oxide?
High purity electric fused magnesia is a kind of high purity magnesium oxide crystalline product which is obtained by high temperature melting, cooling and crystallization of electric arc furnace above 3000℃ after granulation by pressing ball.
High purity electric fused magnesia has good electrical insulation material, it is the first choice raw material for electric ceramics, also is the important raw material for making high grade magnesia brick, magnesia carbon brick and indefinite refractory material, it can be used for making high grade and super high grade temperature resistant, pressure resistant, high frequency resistant insulating material, thermocouple material, It can be used to make high-grade and super high-grade temperature, pressure and high-frequency insulating materials, thermocouple materials, electronic ceramic materials, nuclear ceramics, rockets, nuclear furnaces, etc. The electrofusion skin sand is the preferred product for the production of electrical grade magnesium oxide because of its very low iron content.
Features
Electro-fused magnesium oxide is used for insulating filler of tubular heating elements. To produce a tubular heating element, the coiled electric wire is inserted into the metal tube and the electro-fused magnesium oxide powder is filled into the inside gap.
Electro-fused magnesium oxide tubular heating elements are widely used for such applications as household appliances (electrical rice cookers, irons, hotplates, etc) and industrial equipment (molding machines, hot sealers, etc).
Electro-fused magnesium oxide powder plays a role in insulating the electric current running through the wire and effectively conducting only the thermal energy to the tube.
